The Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) and Cristina Lourenço, daughter of the President of the Republic, publicly denied a report published by the newspaper Valor Económico, which claimed that the executive received an allegedly inflated salary.
According to the institution, the information is false and does not reflect reality. In a statement, BODIVA clarified that, according to its financial statements for the second quarter of 2025 — presented on July 31 — total personnel costs amounted to 314 million kwanzas. This amount includes the salaries of all employees as well as the remuneration of members of the Governing Bodies, which totalled 272 million kwanzas during the same period.
BODIVA emphasised that all figures are transparently disclosed and are currently under audit by an Independent Auditor. The final report, in accordance with current regulations, will be released by August 31, 2025.
The institution stressed that it will continue to uphold transparency and sound management practices, regretting the dissemination of unfounded information that could harm the credibility of its professionals and the proper functioning of Angola’s capital markets.
