The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is currently hosting the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Luong Cuong, at the Presidential Palace in Cidade Alta, Luanda, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Upon arrival at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong was received with full ceremonial honors. Accompanied by President João Lourenço, he greeted members of the Angolan presidential delegation.
Shortly thereafter, President João Lourenço also greeted the officials accompanying President Luong Cuong on this 72-hour state visit to Angola.
At present, the two heads of state are engaged in a private meeting for official discussions.
