“Chivukuvuku is a political animal.” It was the renowned analyst Albino Pakisse who said this, and the phrase dropped like a bomb in the corridors of UNITA. Not because it’s a lie, but because it hit where it hurts: in the vanity of those who can’t cope with the success of others. UNITA hasn’t digested it. It’s choking. As soon as someone praises Chivukuvuku, militants immediately appear foaming hatred, spreading rumors, and vomiting insults. It’s the reaction of those who, instead of reinventing themselves, prefer to destroy those who represent a real threat.

The truth is harsh: Chivukuvuku sparks hope, while Adalberto da Costa Júnior sparks distrust. One leads with balance; the other with resentment. One builds bridges; the other digs trenches.
That’s why, with each new affiliation in PRA-JA, UNITA fanatics lose sleep. When Makuta Nkondo joined, he was attacked as if he had committed a crime. But political freedom is a right — not a betrayal. And it’s worth remembering: those who insult the freedom of others show they never understood what democracy is.
UNITA should be facing MPLA — but no, it prefers to oppose the opposition. It spends more time attacking Chivukuvuku than exposing the regime’s wrongdoing. This isn’t strategy — it’s desperation. And do you know why? Because 2027 is coming, and there’s a real risk of PRA-JA surpassing UNITA.
And then, yes, Adalberto will be left with his hands tied and his head down. Because if MPLA wins and PRA-JA comes second, it will be the end of UNITA’s illusion of prominence. At that point, no insult will disguise the failure.
The Angolan people are watching. And they’re beginning to realize who truly wants to change the country — and who just wants to keep their place in line. Angola needs unity in the opposition, not vanity wars. It needs political intelligence, not petty party squabbles.
The phrase is said, and it won’t be erased: Chivukuvuku is a political animal. And the more they try to erase him, the more he will shine.
